St. Louis Blues Defenseman Out 6 Months
St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich is set to have surgery on a fractured surgery this week. Unfortunately, this means that he will be out for the next six months, as announced by the team.To put it bluntly, this is simply horrible news for Perunovich. The 24-year-old defenseman was in a position to take on a full-time role with Marco Scandella out long-term, but now, he will miss action until at least April. Thus, there's a real chance that he may not play a single game this season.Perunovich is viewed as having a lot of potential, but injuries have really delayed the start of his career. He missed the entirety of the 2020-21 season due to a different shoulder injury. With that, he only played in 36 games split between the Blues and Springfield Falcons. With the Falcons, he showed his offensive upside, as he had an impressive 22 points in just 17 games.Nevertheless, this is simply disappointing to see. Here's to hoping that Perunovich can recover ahead of schedule and get into some action this season.Photo Credit: © Jon Durr-USA TODAY Sports...
