92% of fans think Landeskog is coming back! It's another installment of Mile High Pollster! Adrian Hernandez took to X this week to get the Colorado Avalanche fan perspective, and some interesting results have come back. Let's take a look!
An Avalanche of Flames
The Colorado Avalanche are on an absolute tear in March, winning every game but a shootout loss to Minnesota and a fluke regulation loss to the Maple Leafs. That means they have secured points in 9 of their last 10 games. They have earned 17 of a possible 20 points this month. 98% of Avalanche fans agree that the Avalanche are on fire!

Landeskog Emerges
Speaking of March, the first month of spring has also brought new life to the story of Gabe Landeskog's hopeful return to the ice. We've seen him finally practicing with the team; he is on the Canadian road trip and participating in everything but the games. Hope is on the horizon, and public opinion has flip-flopped on these steps in the right direction.

The results from the pollster we dropped about a month ago are above, and this week's poll is pictured below. Avs fans are singing a different tune regarding the return of their beloved captain!

I asked about this about a month ago, but let's get an update and see if anything has changed.Do you think Gabe Landeskog will play this postseason?#GoAvsGo | @MileHighHockey | @MHH_LAB— Adrian Hernandez (@AdoHernandez27) March 21, 2025

Full Nelson
When I sent this poll, newly acquired Brock Nelson had yet to score a point. Well, that has all changed after last night's two-goal performance. I left space for it to be too early to worry about Brock, and wouldn't you know it, the level-headed Avalanche community was right. Patience is a virtue, as 73% of fans say that "things take time."

Are you worried about Brock Nelson’s level of production so far? #GoAvsGo | @MileHighHockey | @MHH_LAB— Adrian Hernandez (@AdoHernandez27) March 19, 2025

Contributions come in many forms that aren’t always represented in the score sheet. Timely screen on chu chu goal, hitting 4 posts, strong on pucks and an effective forecheck. Points will come— Scott (@themostcomfy) March 19, 2025

Makar for Norris
Cale Makar is the world's best defender, but will the Norris vote shake out that way? Some media pundits are still leaning toward Quinn Hughes, and a big thing that has come about is some JFresh analytics that says that without MacKinnon, the team is better without Makar than with him. My response to that will be a whole other article, so stay posted, but my theory as to why is pretty straightforward. Nonetheless, sometimes you must look hard for a flaw because there isn't much to find. Cale Makar is the best defender in the world, and it's that simple.

Back-to-back
Since we are on the topic of season-long awards, what about Nate Dogg's campaign for back-to-back MVP seasons? I, for one, think it's a lock, given all that MacKinnon has accomplished this season. It's no surprise that Avs fans agree with this!

The dark horse in this race is Russian veteran phenom Alexandar Ovechkin, who scored his 888th career goal and sits just seven short of Gretzky's all-time goal record. It's not entirely out of the question for voters to default to that accomplishment and honor Ovi with another MVP. Oh yeah, and what on god's green earth does Jared Bednar have to do to be nominated for the Jack Adams Award? Does he have to make the playoffs with 45+ different players? Oh, wait.

Should be, but wont be. i can see them give it to Ovechkin if he breaks the record this year and the Caps go deep into May. It'd be the NHL thing to do. I also think Bednar gets ignored for Jack Adams...AGAIN.— D (@DevonOlds2) March 21, 2025

As usual, please share your thoughts on the polls or expand on your answers in the comments. Again, thanks to those who participated and wrote in on the polls!
