Insider: Jake McCabe & Maple Leafs Extension Talk Numbers Revealed
In a season and a half, Jake McCabe has made himself indispensable on the Toronto Maple Leafs blueline. So much so, that according to insider Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, the team is working on a six-year extension for the impending unrestricted free agent.@RealKyper says the #LeafsForever and Jake McCabe are working on a long term extension. McCabe, turning 31 next week, has brought his heavy, physical game to the Leafs blueline and is a rock in their top four. Last season, his first full year in the Blue & White, he recorded career highs in goals (8), assists (20) and points (28), as well as plus/minus rating (+20) and hits handed out (219).
