Shesterkin to start for Rangers at Flyers after injury
- Igor Shesterkin will start for the New York Rangers at the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; ESPN+, TVAS, NBCSP, MSG2, NHL.TV) after the goalie missed 10 games with a mild groin strain sustained March 4.
- "He's 100 percent and we're excited to have him back," Rangers acting coach Kris Knoblauch said.
- Vitali Kravtsov practiced with the Rangers for the first time this season and will make the trip to Philadelphia for the games Thursday and Saturday.
- Knoblauch said the decision when Kravtsov will play will be up to Rangers general manager Jeff Gorton and coach David Quinn.
- Assistants Jacques Martin and Greg Brown have been cleared from COVID-19 protocols and joined the Rangers in Philadelphia. .
- Rangers forward Phillip Di Giuseppe will make the trip to Philadelphia if he clears a cardiac screening, which is part of COVID-19 protocols
