Colorado has another depth forward on the books. At this time last year, Joel Kiviranta didn’t have a contract and had to settle for a PTO with the Colorado Avalanche by the start of training camp. Now, he’s earned another contract.
Kiviranta has signed a one-year deal to return to the Avalanche for the 2024-25 season at $775,000. The former member of the Dallas Stars will fit in nicely with the bottom six of the Avs looking to fill gaps and holes in their lineup.

As of the publishing of this article, he is the second signing to be made by Colorado today behind Johnathan Drouin. We’ll see if he has more of an impact this season, perhaps playing more consistently in the bottom six. What do you think of the deal? Let us know in the comments below!...
