I think the two were very far apart money wise with contract discussions. Possible he could of put a word out in St Louis if they would hire him. Just right timing for Montgomery whether he asked to be let go or not. Both teams needed a change but also a trade is still needed within Boston. Can't be a player that's not on ice much going to have to be one of their top names maybe Marchand,Pasta or mcavoy....
